We were told we should get 2 bottles of water a day, and never did. The room was nice, appeared clean but due to new Covid rules, no room service was offered, and when we asked for fresh towels or even coffee, it seemed to be an ordeal. I know not a huge deal breaker, but definitely got to be frustrating by the end of the weekend with luggage and kids. The main elevator is the slowest I have ever been on during a hotel stay during our travels. We stayed a night recently and while the location is amazing, the hotel was dated and wasn’t overly impressed. If you need something you have to contact the front desk - trashes emptied, clean towels, clean bed linens? They all require a call to the front desk.… No housekeeping service for the term of your stay. They are doing the best they can with the resources given. The hotel is one of them and I would imagine lower paying jobs like housekeeping have taken a hit. With this criticism I want to add that due to Covid, many businesses here in Ocean Shores are having problems with staffing.

No towel rods in the bathroom by the sinks. The closet doors bind when moved right or left and the room amenities that are normally associated with a hotel stay are not there. The faucets leak and the woodwork is noticeably banged up, scratched and in need of a facelift. The hotel is older, she was probably at one time a grand dame but not so anymore. Housekeeping was very quick to come vacuum the carpet again but our expectation of a clean environment was not met. There was food remnants on the carpet from the last guest, there was hair on the table in front of the couch and in the bathroom there were several long, black hairs behind the bathroom door. The elevator was tiny and could fit maybe four normal sized people with luggage. The downside we arrived and checked in which was very easy. A relatively easy walk to the beach but only if you have no limitations, like wheelchair, cane, crutches, joint replacement, etc. The staff was so very helpful and pleasant, our room had an incredible view which is what we came to experience.
